A growing client of 6 Degrees Group is hiring a Staff or Senior Staff Accountant as a temp-to-perm position in Atlanta, GA. This company is growing fast through acquisitions, and they’re adding to the accounting team to keep up. It’s not a well-oiled machine yet, so you’ll have real room to clean up processes and shape how things get done, working alongside the Accounting Manager, Director of Finance, and CFO. After training, the schedule is hybrid: two weeks a month fully in office and two weeks at three days in office, and the team is very flexible as long as the work gets done. Responsibilities
- Maintain and review general ledger accounts and prepare and adjust journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations and analysis, including bank statements and expense accruals
- Assist with month-end close, financial statement prep, budgets, and monthly financial analysis
- Spot process gaps and recommend improvements as the company grows and integrates acquisitions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance1 to 2+ years of corporate accounting experience (public accounting backgrounds with some corporate exposure welcome)
- Solid understanding of GL, reconciliations, and month-end close, with strong attention to detail
- Self-starter who’s comfortable in a changing environment, with a CPA or MBA a plus
