Sales Lead
The Sales Lead oversees daily store operations during their shift, supervises Sales Associates, and ensures the store runs smoothly and in accordance with company policies. This is a hands-on leadership role that bridges the gap between associates and management while maintaining a strong presence on the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise and support Sales Associates to ensure strong customer service and smooth shift execution
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new and existing team members
- Coach team members on product knowledge, sales approach, and store policies
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
Operational Oversight
- Oversee daily store operations and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Execute opening and closing procedures to ensure the store is prepared and secure
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation
- Ensure products are handled, stored, and displayed according to company standards
- Verify daily sales reconciliation and cash handling processes
Customer Experience
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence on the sales floor
- Assist customers with product selection and general questions
- Resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner
- Gather and share customer feedback with management
Sales Execution
- Support the team in meeting sales goals through strong customer engagement
- Encourage upselling and cross-selling based on customer needs
- Identify high-performing products and help drive awareness on the floor
- Provide basic sales insights and observations to management
Inventory Support
- Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and receiving shipments
- Ensure products are properly labeled, stored, and organized
- Report inventory discrepancies or issues to management
- Follow store processes for inventory tracking, including required seed-to-sale systems (e.g., METRC)
Compliance and Reporting
- Follow company policies and state regulations, including proper product handling, ID verification, and inventory tracking requirements
- Ensure ID checks and age verification procedures are followed consistently
- Maintain accurate shift records and report any issues to management
- Escalate any concerns related to safety, compliance, or store operations
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years old
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with all cannabis regulations
- Manual dexterity for handling cannabis products and equipment
- Comfortable working in an environment where cannabis aromas and scents are consistently present
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
