Job Summary and Qualifications The Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a vital advocate for patients and their families. Using the nursing process alongside critical thinking and technical skills, the RN delivers safe and effective nursing care. Collaborating with the patient care team, the RN strives to achieve positive patient outcomes aligned with the hospital's mission and goals. The RN also communicates effectively, promotes teamwork, and acts as a resource for the care team, while being accountable for the quality of nursing services in accordance with Texas regulations. Essential Job Functions: • Utilizes nursing judgment through a thorough application of the nursing process: • Assessment: Conduct comprehensive and timely physical, psychosocial, and pain assessments. • Planning: Develop individualized care plans based on assessments. • Implementation: Execute an efficient nursing care plan. • Evaluation/Reassessment: Conduct ongoing evaluations to adjust care plans as necessary. • Collaborates with patient care team members on care plans and facilitates communication among team members. • Demonstrates critical thinking, prioritizes tasks, and organizes patient care efficiently. • Makes accurate, complete entries into patient records addressing nursing processes. • Maintains current knowledge and applies safety policies and practices. • Supervises tasks delegated to unlicensed personnel, ensuring adherence to relevant nursing rules. Qualifications: Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred. Minimum 6 months of RN experience is required.
