Job Title: Travel Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)
Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Working Hours: 5x8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Contract - 13 Weeks
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, specialized care to adult and geriatric patients receiving cancer treatment. The ideal candidate will have current acute-care oncology experience and strong skills in symptom management, patient education, and care coordination.
The nurse will assess and manage treatment-related symptoms, support patients and families, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, and maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic. Floating to other units may be required.
Required Skills
- Current acute-care nursing experience in the specialty within the past 12 months.
- Oncology nursing experience and symptom management.
- Patient assessment and monitoring.
- Care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Patient and family education and support.
- Management of nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, pain, neuropathy, and other treatment-related symptoms.
- Medication administration and monitoring.
- Experience with Epic electronic health records.
- Ability to provide care to adult and geriatric patients.
- Flexibility to float as needed.
- Current BLS certification.
- Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand at submission.
- Two professional references, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor.
- Availability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after accepting an offer.
Preferred Skills
- Oncology clinic or outpatient oncology experience.
- Palliative care or hospice experience.
- Experience with advanced directives and goals-of-care discussions.
- Familiarity with neutropenic precautions, wound care, and ostomy management.
- ONS or OCN certification.
- Teaching hospital experience.
Education/Certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program.
- Active RN license required at submission.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ONS or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred.
- Flu vaccination required; medical exemptions only.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: November 30, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics receiving cancer treatment.
- Floating: Required.
- Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted if all specialty and acute-care requirements are met.
- Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate.
- Time Off: Requested time off must be disclosed at submission and incorporated into the contract.
- Compliance: Ohio fingerprinting must be completed urgently after contract signing.
