Front Desk Receptionist / Customer Experience Support

Location: Jacksonville, FL | On site

We are seeking a professional, organized Front Desk Receptionist / Customer Experience Support representative for a Jacksonville laboratory facility. This position serves as the first point of contact for callers and visitors, helps coordinate incoming deliveries and provides backup support to the Customer Experience team.

This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys helping people, keeping an office organized and balancing face-to-face interactions with phone and email customer service.

What you will do

• Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, respond to routine questions and take accurate messages.
• Welcome visitors, clients and vendors and follow established check-in procedures.
• Receive and route mail, courier deliveries and material samples to the appropriate internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming items, customer inquiries and follow-up activities.
• Cross-train to provide Customer Experience coverage during breaks, absences and busy periods.
• Assist customers by phone and email with routine questions about submissions, receipt of materials and available status updates.
• Look up information in internal systems, document requests and coordinate with other departments to obtain answers.
• Escalate complex or technical questions and customer concerns to the appropriate specialist.
• Keep the reception area organized and assist with data entry, outgoing shipments and general office support.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1-2 years of reception, administrative support or customer service experience.
• Experience assisting customers by phone and communicating professionally by email.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Word, and the ability to learn customer databases and tracking systems.
• Excellent telephone etiquette, clear communication and a professional, welcoming manner.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
• Ability to manage interruptions, prioritize tasks and follow through on customer requests.
• Availability to work on site in Jacksonville during assigned hours.

Experience in both reception and customer service is especially helpful. Familiarity with CRM or ticketing systems, shipping and receiving, laboratory intake, insurance or property restoration is a plus.
