Role Description The Electrical Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Arden, NC. This role involves performing residential electrical service, including installations, maintenance, and repairs of wiring, panels, fixtures, and related systems. The technician will diagnose electrical issues, troubleshoot equipment and system faults, and ensure all work complies with local codes and safety standards.
Day-to-day tasks include responding to scheduled and emergency service calls, providing clear explanations of work to homeowners, preparing accurate documentation, and maintaining tools, vehicles, and materials in good working order. The technician will collaborate with team members, follow company procedures, and deliver professional, respectful customer service during every visit.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including routine service and corrective repairs on residential electrical systems.
- Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to diagnose electrical faults, identify root causes, and implement safe, reliable solutions.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including working in customer homes, managing service calls, and operating independently on-site.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with homeowners, explain options, and provide honest, respectful support.
- Candidates should possess general Maintenance abilities to perform inspections, preventive tasks, and ensure system reliability over time.
- Valid electrician license or apprenticeship status as required by North Carolina regulations; familiarity with NEC and local codes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics; strong safety awareness and adherence to PPE and safety procedures.
- Reliable transportation to Arden, NC job sites, ability to lift and carry equipment, and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
