Scout Security is hiring dependable individuals to join our Emergency Services Team!
This is a great opportunity to supplement your current income, pick up available shifts around your existing schedule, and gain valuable security experience. Assignments may include Fire Watch, Gate Watch, Garage Watch, access control, and safety patrols throughout Denver and Colorado Springs.
Important: This is an on-call position. Hours are not guaranteed, and shifts depend on client needs. Assignments may be offered with limited notice, including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Earn Up to $25 Per Hour
- Guaranteed base rate: $19.29/hour
- Performance pay: Up to an additional $5.71/hour
- Potential total hourly pay: $25.00
- 8-12 hour shifts
Performance pay is earned when you meet the applicable performance expectations and fulfill the essential functions of your assignment. This includes arriving on time, completing your shift and required patrols, staying alert, following site procedures, and submitting accurate reports. If the performance requirements are not met, the base rate applies.
What You'll Do
- Conduct Fire Watch and safety patrols.
- Monitor gates, garages, entrances, and restricted areas.
- Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, and security concerns.
- Complete patrol logs and incident reports using a smartphone.
- Follow site-specific procedures and respond appropriately to incidents.
- Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout each assignment.
What We're Looking For
- At least 21 years old.
- Reliable transportation. (Please note, some locations do not offer public transportation access)
- Smartphone with dependable service.
- Ability to travel to different assignment locations.
- Availability for overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods.
- Dependability, professionalism, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Ability to pass required job-related assessments, background screening, and drug testing.
- Ability to meet applicable security licensing requirements.
Previous security experience is welcome but not required. Required training is provided.
Team members receive paid Emergency Services Certification training every three months. Build experience in Fire Watch and emergency security while developing skills that may open doors to future opportunities with Scout Security.

Shifts are assigned based on your local area. If you live in Denver, you will be considered for assignments in the Denver area. If you live in Colorado Springs, you will be considered for assignments in the Colorado Springs area.
