About This Opportunity
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Project Type: Construction and Carpentry
Schedule: Work can be scheduled around your current commitments - full-time, part-time, and project-based arrangements are all available.
Pay: $20.29 - $68.17 per hour, based on experience
Pay Range
- Entry-Level Carpenter: $20.29 - $25.27 per hour
- Experienced Carpenter: $25.51 - $48.29 per hour
- Lead Carpenter/Crew Leader: $43.52 - $68.17 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and shape materials to precise specifications
- Install trim, cabinetry, doors, and windows
- Build, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials
- Read blueprints and building plans to determine specifications
- Frame walls, floors, and roof systems
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Previous carpentry or framing experience preferred
- Knowledge of hand and power tools used in carpentry
- Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing if required by specific projects
