Senior AI Software Engineer (Full Stack / Generative AI) - Remote Contract
Revel IT is hiring a Senior AI Software Engineer for our client, a leading education technology company. You’ll join their AI Platform team and build generative AI-powered full stack applications that reach millions of learners and educators.

What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain AI platform tools and generative AI applications that are reliable, scalable, and maintainable
- Build and integrate AI solutions across the full stack, from frontend to backend to cloud infrastructure
- Implement and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions
- Develop accessible software that meets WCAG 2.2 AA standards
- Partner with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on performance, cost, and security
- Champion engineering best practices for quality, security, and data privacy
What You Bring
- 5+ years in product or enterprise software development, including 4+ years as a hands-on engineer on distributed teams
- Full stack experience: Angular or React, Python or Node.js, SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB), and AWS or Azure with Terraform
- Practical, hands-on generative AI experience, including implementing and tuning RAG
- Experience building accessible web features
- Strong skills in testing, monitoring, performance tuning, and deployment pipelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- A real passion for keeping up with AI advancements
